Between 1st July and 1st September 2017, Mole Valley District Council held a public consultation to ask for your views on the strategic options for Future Mole Valley. We hosted 16 events throughout the district and attended a further 11 meetings organised by Parish Councils, Neighbourhood Forums and Residents’ Associations; a full list of these can be found here.

We received a significant number of responses which have now been analysed by the team. Please note, the poll results on this page have been adjusted to take into account any hard copy or email responses we have received. We have taken account of all comments in our summary of the consultation.

Our Consultation Summary is available to view here.

Following the analysis of consultation responses, a report was presented to the Mole Valley Executive on 28 November 2017, where members agreed the following preferred strategic development options to guide the preparation of Future Mole Valley:

Brownfield Options

  • Town centre redevelopment
  • Limited reallocation of commercial and retail land
  • Mixed use redevelopment
  • Targeted increases in suburban densities

Greenfield Options

  • Urban extensions
  • Expansion of one or more rural village
  • Modest additions to rural villages

Further details on each option is available below.
